In December I have done "Fur Project" for campaign against fur trades in China and Canada.
To make this poster I had to invite my partner to be my model in planned Photoshoot. My objective was to introduce people to real fur trade world, in order to create something original I tried to make my model look very serious and scary, just like in some horror movie. I also thought about the text that will represent the poster and campaign, and because of that I choose to use rhyme in the text, so the people who reads the text will not forget my words. I think red detailed colour composing pretty good with black n' white picture, specially the text looks nice with black n red colours. I don't think that funky fonts for campaigns like this are on a place, so I didn't make a mess and I choose simple font with 2 distinct tones. Everything you see on this poster is my authority and I can honestly say that I did not copy anybody's idea!
This is actually one of my favorite posters I've produced for this campaign.
Canadian Seal Hunting
This poster is also dedicated to fur campaign but I also did something for Canadian seals. Because every year in May, there are Seal hunting in Canada, in which hunters skinning seals for fur. I've researched a lot about this cruel hunts, and I found one very interesting picture, I've downloaded the image from Canadian hunting website and I started playing a bit with this image in Photoshop.
Same as in previous picture I've used combination of black and red colours, of course red colour reminds us of animal's blood, and black of evil people who skinning seals. These 2 men wearing black coats, they are hunters, and these 2 little red "things" they are young powerless seals in the middle of the action.
I didn't forget about the big title and the text I used in this poster. I want the text to be big and distinct for everybody, therefore I've downloaded new font from dafont.com website and I've found one great font (which you see in this big title). Unfortunately I can't remember the exact name of the font but I remember it had something related to army....
I really like this poster, it shows so many bad sides of Canadian hunting, but this is what I want to present people, I want make people to open their eyes and to stop wearing any kind of real fur!
Human Animal!
My model had a very hard work to. He actually had to make his face emotions as very angry, sad and guiltiness. Because I'm interesting a bit in prosthetic make-up therefore I used this method in shoot, and I've made very deep wound on my model's face, in temple areas so the wound looks like after a stick punch.
Similar method with prosthetic make up i used in characterization of hands and chest. I stuck zippers onto hands and chest, I've put a lot of wax on them then a transparent powder and I added red paint and home made fake blood. As you can see the final effect is great, and looks pretty real.
Maybe you're thinking why did I choose this type of model? well, the campaign is about fur, so I thought I can do something with a real human "fur", but what I wanted in photoshoot, so it could make a sense was to find hairy male model, and this model was great!
I'm thinking now what really inspired me when I was planning all these things... I think I got the inspiration of real fur coats zippers which some of fur coats has. These kind of coats are very famous in exclusive and expensive fashion designers' stores around whole world . I hope you will like the project because I'm very proud of myself, looking at my final designs.
I've spend 6 hours in my College photo studio where all pictures were taken in the same day. It wasn't easy task to do because I had to produce everything on my own, but at least it was worth a time!
you don't no jack fuck about this shit if you think that this is all accurate information
